On May, 28th 2005 Sir Paul McCartney
and his wife Heather Mills- McCartney invited to a Charity Gala at the Swissotel/ Düsseldorf- Neuss for the Adopt- A- Minefield Campaign.
Many well- known and famous people were there.
The greatest moment of this evening was live to see the Top Artist of this evening, Yusuf Islam a.k.a. Cat Stevens performing together with Paul McCartney.
And it was Yusuf´s first concert in Germany after 30 years!
After their performance, Sir Paul McCartney and later Yusuf signed the Gibson Les Paul guitar, which you find in this auction.

And here a few words about the story of this unique guitar:
the Band The Strangers used this guitar during the recording- session of their song "Fire" , the hymn for the NFL League Europe Club RheinFire together with Doro Pesch.
It is the guitar of the singer of the band, Eyreen Sue, and there is also her small signature on this guitar - on the bottom.
Eyreen Sue is not only a great singer, she stands up for a better living and peace - for all creatures on this planet;
an advocat for animals - and a strict vegetarian.
For her other successful band High´n Dry involving in Humanity is not only a word but a philosophy.
Her projects were e.g. a Band Aid for the Asian Tsunami Victims, another for Starving Children in our wealthy world, and many more.
The auction of this unique guitar in 2005 ended on June, 11th, the time the World Bowl 2005 final started in the LTU arena - between Berlin Thunder and the Amsterdam Admirals.
200 TV- Stations from all around the world transfered this final, 500 Millions of people watched the World Bowl Final on TV.
The total proceeds of the guitar auction in 2005 were transfered 100% to Adopt- A-Minefield.
The guitar is a piece of history, not only because of the singular show of Paul McCartney and Yusuf together- but also as the NFL Europe doesn´t exist anymore- they closed in September 2007.
That time an industrialist from Germany bought this guitar in the auction and supported with his money the victims of landmines.
